The Belize Property is generally irregular in shape, and consists of a total of 82.58 acres on Turneffe Island. It has sea frontage on the east, west and north sides. Belize’s Barrier Reef is about 1 mile away on the east. The famous Blue Hole is a 30 minutes boat ride away. The topography of the property is generally flat and its in its natural state with a high density of mangrove.
Turneffe Islands is an atoll, and is the largest of Belize’s three (3) atolls and the closest in distance from Belize City, located about 15 miles east of the city. Turneffe is home to pristine little cayes (islands) cloaked in palms which encircle the crystal clear lagoon waters. Only a few hundred yards from the reef, Turneffe offers world class fishing, diving, and snorkeling. Turneffe Flats (Northern Bogue), Turneffe Island Lodge (Caye Bokel), and Blackbird Caye Resort (Blackbird Caye) are all premier dive and fishing resorts found in the neighbourhood.
Turneffe Flat Resort, and Blackbird Resort to the south are 15 and 20 minutes away respectively. Turneffe Lagoon is about one mile to the south of this property. The Cayes of Belize, of which the Turneffe Islands are apart, are generally islands of low relief, being but a few feet above sea level. The emergent part of the islands are usually coral sand with local accumulations of ragged coral rock rubble. The windward coast often has a sandy beach; the leeward shore is usually shallow for a long way out, with accumulations of mud, fine sand and organic matter and supporting mangrove forest.
